Does purging mean just self-induced vomiting or does it include using laxatives/diuretics?

It can be either or a combination of both, and or exercise, fasting.

in terms of the definitions - and you might find the SF pages helpful - purging means using any or all of vomitting, laxatives, enemas or diuretics. Other bulimics (non-purging) use over exercise or fasting. So, over exercise is not purging, but can be just as unhealthy.

I had heard that it was either vomiting or the use of laxatives, but i wasnt sure. My doctor told me that i was a bulimarexic, and i dont really know what that means. I have never binged, and i only vomited once, but i was heavy into the laxatives.

I've been recovering for about a year now.
