My friend is starting to sound like me right before my ED got really bad. Like, wanting to have such a fixed diet, and restrictions, and control---and detoxing. I haven't detoxed in a few months because I realized that I was doing it for bad reasons. I'm reaching a higher end of my recovery right now, and I'm having a hard time talking to her.
She keeps asking me for diet tips, and blah blah blah, but I'm not giving her any answers because I did all of those things to my own disadvantage. I don't feel that I'm always at liberty to say try this or try that because I got carried away with it, and she certainly could too. Her really shallow roommate tried to ask me for tips, but by the way she sounded, I could tell she was looking for (bad) advice---that is kind of a put down for me :cry
So, I guess I'm asking (since i'm really new at this recovery thing), does anybody know of some motivational things I could say to her? Or maybe I'm already saying the right things, but its not what she wants to hear because she IS looking for bad advice?
Thank-you!!!
