A Whisper

A whisper
could it be I heard
A whisper
light and fair complexion
in a midst of weeping trees
long, trenchant arms
pulling around me
arching, bending boughs
dark tresses
free falling across my face
weak snarls escaping from
the murk
my legs trembling
quivering and quavering
harsh angst getting harsher
all the time
nearer and needier
lost within a fold of canopy
no ciphers of letting loose
just a whisper.
