If any fishies get tired of me posting my poems just let me know. I am not good at expressing myself verbally so I write it out. I don't even think my poems are any good, but I think they are good for releasing my emotions. Thanks. Just let me know if I am being a nuisance to anyone.

I caught a butterfly

I caught a butterfly
sheathed in splendor

she was
soft wings singing
color stealing thief

she was
idealistically harmonized
full of life

she was
the mutual essence
of my soul, my companion

This Venus of life
taking me places
too farfetched to fantasize over

To Rome where myths breathe

To stars and heavens

To peaceful sanction

This image of tranquility
driving me into a disarray
of euphoric insanity

all chaos, all madness
flying surrealist
Picasso or Dali

A mix match of fragments

alas, alas
broken butterfly

dispirited retch
let loose in this world
this veiled sadness

this gentle defilement

I can’t assent to exist
clichéd blasphemy

I lost my butterfly’s
heart.

I think this poem is beautiful and I thank you for sharing it with us. I doubt anyone would find this a nuisance...unless perhaps they were merely jealous of your knack for words.

Thanks again,
