:trigger - Personal opinion

As most of you could probably guess, I am an anti-war veteran. I thought the last gulf war was wrong, and I don't see any difference this time. But, we'll skip the politics surrounding the whole issue and get to what I want to say.

There is an awesome website out there called Patriots for Peace (http://www.patriotsforpeace). You can print out letter size posters for windows and cars with your state as a header and the message "Patriots for Peace - Spread peace visibly. Everywhere."

I first saw this site advertized on the Oprah show (rather sadly) but I have since frequented the site, and printed out many posters.

I see many people here (in r/t) who also disagree with the President. Let's make Bush listen (his words the other day pissed me off big time - "People can protest if they like, but I have to respectfully disagree" (Paraphrased of course)..)

Let's give :peace a chance

Of course, this is simply my opinion. If you are in favor of the war, please don't shoot me down... just turn around and leave this thread. I didn't start this as an argument... simply to let those who feel the same way know there are others out there.

Thank you and goodnight :sarcasm

Hi Willow--
Good idea-- PfP organized our peace march here. Another great thing to do is to go to MoveOn.org and to check out their "virtual march on Washington." They are organizing people nationwide to schedule phone calls to government officials' offices. If democracy works, then I'd hope that leaders will listen to the concerns many people have.
Any person can also do a Web search under terms like "peaceIraq" or "antiwar" and you can find TONS of resources.
Yours in peace,
s

Thanks for posting this! :yay I've actually printed some of these already and have them hanging around in my office (much to the dismay of a couple of coworkers who do not share my opinion, but they can put up signs that they like in their office, right?). And it's good to use my voice in this way too! :peace :peace :peace :peace

much :love,
