Standing here in the freezing cold,
I am only growing old.
Growing older by every minute,
Am I truely living in it?
In the here and now or in the future or past,
wish I had freedom at last.
Dying on the inside so many times a day,
even though I take time to pray.
Winter comes and winter goes,
when will it be gone, I ask?
Finished being winter at last?
I look inside my heart and find,
the winter I'm trying to get rid of is mine.
Inside my heart,
tearing me apart.
Let it go and be free,
I'm down on my knee.
Hoping for a better tomorrow,
yearing for a brighter future,
waiting for the feel of summer!
Waiting.........
Waiting.........
Waiting.........
Hope you enjoy my poem and it touches home with you all.
Love, clown:butterfly

NO one has responded to my poem.....I know it's not all that great or anything, but I could at least use some constructive criticism or something. Poems come from the soul and often times I find it hard to express on paper what is going on in my soul, but I tried. clown:butterfly

Hi Clown! I really loved your poem! It is so beautiful!
I've found life to be so frustrating sometimes when no one takes the time to answer posts. The upside is that within time people will answer the posts probably and so its like heinz ketchup - The Best Things Come To Those Who Wait!
