Dreams

I wish to be woken
As if from a dream
I want to forget
All the things I have been

For it to blur
And then fade away fast
From all recollection
To not be my past

The present's gone in a flicker
And the future's unclear
But with optimism
There's much less to fear

I may be no angel
But that doesn't mean
That I can learn to fly
Weaving new dreams
