:stars Do you make resolutions?
It's nearly new year, and for some reason I feel it necessary to engage in the obligatory resolution setting!!!!
Normally make about fifty :surprise ... all of which I've fucked up by January Two!!!
So anyway ... I've got a dozen or so for this year ...
:bug Stop smoking :smokin :ohboy
:bug Stop biting my nails
:bug Go on holiday
:bug Get my navel pierced and my next tattoo
:bug Go on holiday
:bug Get a job
:bug Arrange a class reunion
:bug Get a flat
:bug Get my hair done!
:bug Go to the dentist :ugh
:bug Take more photos :bounce
:bug Do my Website!!! :sly
:bug Go to the gym at least once a month! ... Every year I set that one, but for once a week and never make it!! So I'm gonna be realistic this year!!!
Anyone else? (NO negatives!)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one but my New Years Resolution is to stop smoking. I was at home for Christmas for five days and only had one cigarette:surprise. But I'm actually giving up as of tomorrow because I'm going away with work.

It's funny, because now that new year is coming, and the resolution period looms closer, I find myself indulging more in those things I plan to give up ... maybe it's kinda like getting-it-while-I-can ... cus so far I don't think my fingers have left my mouth much at all in the last few days from all the nibbling (:ugh) ... except to be replaced by a ciggie :smokin in my attempt to finish all I have left before quit day arrives ... I have paid for them, after all :ohboy so I don't intend to waste them! I wish I wasn't making the most of it tho, cus my fingers are bloody sore now ... yet because it's a very long-standing habit (twenty years now!), I actually don't even notice I'm doing it most of the time, an automatic reflex, and the fact they're sore doesn't stop that :shy But soon, it'll be gone :wand :cheshire ... apparently, it takes twenty-eight days to first break a habit, and six months free before the habit is considered beaten and the prefix "EX" can be applied (ie: ex-smoker, ex-nailbiter!) ... interesting!!! :ummm
oh well, no turning back ... this year, THIS IS IT ... I'm gonna finally do these things :kick :winky
