Raises her fin - me too - five and a half years now. It is a banana belle with a blue stone. Never show it though, probably due to body image :ugh :ummm.

Joining.. :happy

I've had my belly button pierced about sixteen months ago - after thinking about it for more than two years. :yay

The first weeks were bad though, it was swollen and sore and trousers hurt a lot. Now it's great.

I wear a Banana bar with a clear stone... couldn't make up my mind which color I want, so I decided to have the "simple" look.

Don't show it much either.. Sometimes you can catch a glance in summer when my T-Shirt isn't too long and I stand very straight... but it never was my intentnion to run around showing it everyone.

My bf friend loves it, too...

It also was the only place I could imagine having a piercing... I didn't wantr to have a visible one in the nose or under the upper lip or eyebrow. Not my stayle, and well, even though a lot of my fellow students have piercings in those areas: I'm studying Psychology and want to go into the clinical field, so I kinda wanted to stay "serious". :winky

I want mine done ... but I have to shyly admit I keep putting it off until my tummy is flatter cus I'm too embarrased to show it off and keep thinking I'll walk in and they'll think I'm crazy for having it done when my tummy looks so awful ... I keep telling myself I should just have it done and it's just my perception that's making me see it that way ... I know it is ... but every time I get close to going ahead and doing it, I chicken out convincing myself I'm too lumpy for something like that :shy I really want it done though ... just gotta work on my body-image thing a little first I reckon :ohboy

Maybe after Xmas ... a new years resolution or something :sly

:hugon Sonja :hugoff ... lots of people think nose studs wont look right cus it's not their style, but end up looking really good with them. I didn't think it was my style so I spent years debating over it before I went ahead and did it ... but now, I look odd without it! I did the same with my tongue, but ended up going on impulse and now I can't imagine being without it ... and I kinda like the idea that I am professional and smart in my working role, but I still have a down-to-earth individual side to me. One of the clinical psychologists at the department where I go has her nose done too ... I don't think it changes how you 'serious' you come across ... obviously if you have a massive bull ring or something then yeah, maybe it wont look as professional as it could ... but a small diamond, or a clear coloured gem or something can look really smart! If it's something you'd actually quite like done but wouldn't because of one reason or another, maybe have it done and experiment with some of the smaller style studs ... at the end of the day, if you don't like it, you can always take it out and let it close up! But if you'd not have it done because you just don't fancy it ... then that's fair enough! :happy

Yup!!!

I got mine done to honor my stomach. I wanted it for a while but was waiting 'till I looked "better". Then I decided to just go for it. I decided to think :stars "My stomach is beautiful!": stars

grrr, i had mine done about eighteen months ago, and i really really loved it, but it healed up :sad I went up to london the day before my birthday (last september) and on the train home it was digging into me (i was all flopped out and tired!) so i took it out, then, like twelve hours later when i was opening my presents, i got a new one and tried to put it in, but it was healed up! already! i keep meaning to get it redone but im broke at the moment. my mum was so funny when i first got it pierced, she nearly threw up :sarcasm dad laughed his head off for some reason, he thought it was really funny(?!)

Wow! Everyone sounds like they have some cool navel jewelery!

I've had mine for five years now, and I wear a barbell with a clear stone on either end. I'm thinking of getting a new one soon, as I've been wearing this one for the past few years.

Pooh Bear, where did you get your ring? That sounds so cute!

To all the newly pierced fishies, don't worry! The uncomfortableness doesn't last forever! It can take months sometimes for them to heal. Just be careful of getting it hooked on your pants or shirts or anthing else! Those pulls sure can irritate it!
