:bowl ,
this is a poem about the war I have with myself. I made it so that people will have to look closer into it to discover it's actual intentions and how it relates to me, the pain I have inside, and the experiences I have undergone and do go through everyday.

if tomorrow comes

My heart crumbles
in the breeze
softness spilt into
the wind

while,

appalling lost stories of
life, history, faith
leave me behind
spellbound

and,

only the desert knows
my name
a piercing shriek
smothered by an empire

of,

charlatans spreading
weapons, torches,
and fires
to all God’s children

for,

warfare dictates humanity
silent soldiers weeping
in the past
praying for tomorrow

so,

babies can sing of
freedom
the land of dreams
and world peace

but,

here I am plagued
in a present
I can’t understand wondering
if tomorrow even exists

today.
