Getting a new baby bird!!

On Wednesday I am picking up a new hand fed :peep Parakeet to fill the physical space, but not spot in my :love for :angel:peepPuck.

It/she/he is SOOO cute. :peep has a BRIGHT green head and LOTS of black markings, with BRIGHT yellow in the midsection and then the above colors AND cobalt blue on the bum. :cheesy

:peep is AFRAID of heights!! Only ever been fed on the counter of the store or in its enclosure that has no perches. So I had to sit on a stool to cuddle the :peep.

His/her name will be(drum roll) Chiquito Pajarito...or Little Bird....Chiqui for short.

I'm so excited!!!
The other birds are WELL and happy and spoiled and VERY much enjoying the BEACH that they got for an early :xmas present.

I wonder if Buzz would Like a beach.....nah, he just likes to dive of his perch into his water bowl....But i dont think he does that on purpose.

i want to get a bird when i am out of school. they are not allowed in the dorms.

i hope you love your new bird. he/she isn't the same as the one that passed on, but all birds have unique and wonderful personalities.

I'm getting so impatient!!! I want him to come home NOW!! But he's finishing up handfeeding so he's down to just a couple of times a day. Tink:peep is gonna be PISSED! (I think that she thinks that SHE is my girlfriend...weird little bird.)

hehe i can't imagine getting another birdy. Wile E. Cockatoo is loud enough as it is!! But i have a soft spot for muluccan cockatoos, but they are SOO loud ifyou dont give them tons and tons of attention.

ACK! I got there today and they told me that Chiqui I had died!! Something happened to his bitty little toe and he died from it.

I was so sad. I started to cry right there. I was SO excited to have him come live with me.

BUT I want to Bracken's Bird Farm and found the youngest keet:peep they had there so the gray and black little :peep is named:

La Reina Princesa Chiquita Pajarita II

Still...Chiquita. :winky Should tame as well as a handfed if I really work at it.

AND...there will be DOS MAS Pajaritos coming. They called as we were almost back to LA and said that in a couple of weeks they will have some more handfeds ready. We'll be a full house again. JUST the way I like it.
