Which are you?
:sarcasm
I have been known to alternate through phases of each. My family in Connecticut :usa used to tease me about how messy I could be at times.
Since moving into my first very own apartment though, I seem to have been going through a record-length neat phase. I just hope it lasts since apartments as small as mine must get really chaotic when the mess reaches beyond reasonable levels.... :ohboy

:bounce i alternate between those. For instance, my room gets really dumpy during the day, but at night i spend quite some time picking up (only to be messy again when i dress in the morning).
When i am anxious, things tend to get neater.
when i'm depressed, well, if i get out of bed, things tend to get messy. :bunny

I'm a mix of both! If that even exists :muhaha - i try to keep things organized and relatively neat but often it ends up with things on my floor, things i dont need - etcetera!

I am generally Little Miss Neat as I like things organised, but when it comes to my desk I am Little Miss Messy cos I just keep throwing things onto it when I have nowhere else to put them - like magazines, letters, and any other crap I like to accumulate.

More towards the neat side of things. My room's a bit disorganized, but I know where everything is and it's not on the floor.:sarcasm (You should see my roommate's room!:muhaha) I like things to be neat and clean, and they usually are.

I think I'd have to say that I am:
Little Miss Anal-Retentive-Obsessive-Compulsively-Neat :muhaha
I think my roommate would agree.
I actually don't mind that she's kinda messy, because it isn't my stuff. The only kind of mess that bothers me is a dirty mess. For instance, I am EXTREMELY anal about bathroom cleanliness, altho I share a bathroom with two other girls, so I've had to adapt, but it's been painful!!!! And dirty dishes in the sink drive me CRAZY!!!! Fortunately, our suite doesn't have a kitchen (phew).
I used to work at a toy store, and my managers used to joke, after watching me interact w/the kiddies (I am very good with them but constantly clean everything before and after I play w/them), that I would be one of those mothers who follows her child around with a Lysol can. This is probably true....I'm waiting for Lysol to come out w/a travel-sized disinfecting spray :winky.
When I was younger, I went to overnight basketball camp and actually cried because my roommate was too messy for me to deal with. Geez, I'm a nut......:sarcasm:supergrin

oh my goodness, i am sooo messy :ugh. i would really really like to be neat, but ummm . . . it never quite seems to happen! i think i just have too much stuff and i hate to throw things away. i'm always afraid i might need something in oh, i don't know, maybe the year two thousand and fifty nine or something :winky!
i'll keep, uh, working on it :cheesy.

I'm a bit of both. I'll go through periods when im very clean, but usually my room is a bit of a mess.
But i like to think of it as organised mess, or organised chaos bc i always know where everything is on my floor, even if no one else believes me.
When im in the throes of uni assignments or exams, like at the moment, i'll have piles of paper on the floor, but they are organised into my subjects.
:ummm But then i do have clothes, cd's, my diary and chewie rappers littered across the other parts of my carpet :ummm

I'd have to say that I'm Miss Meaty. I'm both all of the time. Or maybe I'm Miss Nessy. Alright so I'm a sirloin or an animal whose existance isn't proven. Hmmm?

Since I have been studying my chemistry, I'll say that despite the fact that things have a natural inclination to increase in entropy, I am a neat :bug and am always straightening my room. It can never be too clean :bowtie

Well I definitely like things to be neat and look good but I am NOT good with detail so while you will find my bedroom looking good at a glance, DON'T open any drawers or look under the bed :sarcasm

Little Miss NEAT.
I hate things being messy although since going to uni I have tried to adapt to other peoples messy habits...shared kitchen etc :ugh.
MY sister is the opposite and is Little Miss EXTREMELY messy so she often pays me to tidy up her bedroom because she knows I do a good job :winky
:cha-ching....Jo's bank balance increases from the amount of times she's tidied her sisters room!

I guess you could call me
Little Miss Neat
I swear that my mother has obsessive compulsive disorder when it comes to neatness (no joke, it's not a sarcastic statement). And I think that is has kind of rubbed off on me. :ugh I am used to living in a house where you...
:bug can't touch the walls lest she break your fingers
:bug can't walk on the white carpeting (don't ask)
:bug can't leave a folded pair of pants flipped over a chair...they must be hung up or thrown in the laundry basket
:bug must make your bed the minute you wake up in the morning
:bug must push your chair back under the table/desk
...and I could go on.
Despite all of this, I think I am trying to break free from the craziness. :yay My roommate at school last year used to make fun of me all the time because everything on my side of the room was always in its place. :shy But this year, I have been a lot better with not having everything be perfect (i.e. I never make my bed anymore! :sarcasm). So hopefully i can find a happy medium where my room/house will be clean, but will also look like someone actually lives in it! :cute

OCD means in certain areas (ie. bathroom, work area) Im extremely and consistently neat -- however Im learning to be miss 'messy' ... odd that! :ugh :grin
My bedroom generally has a layer of clothing as the floor.... and I tend to leave it there -- it all comes out when I have to decide what to wear -- :ugh, not my favourite part of the day.
And .. my general neatness goes haywire when Im depressed -- actually i think that's how my parents gauge my mood!
And if Im living with other people -- I become "Little Miss Anal-Retentive-Obsessive-Compulsively-Neat " (thanks :hugon Meaghan :hugoff) ...super neat, super clean! Which others really dont seem to mind - clean dishes, ironed-looking clothes!
I'm little miss neat, although I'm not as bad as my mum! I don't mind messiness too much, it just makes my mind feel cluttered too. I love to tidy and organise! Although you wouldn't think it from talking to me! My mind is all over the place, but my bedroom is tidy!

I have gone both ways. I always was a neat person growing up in my parents home. I than went through a messy phase when I was pregnant with Joshua and a year later with Zack :muhaha I was tired working full time, taking care of the boys and trying to keep the house sort of neat. Now days I have turned back into the neat nick. My dad makes fun of me because I go over to visit and I start cleaning up his kitchen and organizing the junk everywhere. :happy

I wish I was little miss neat but instead I'm little miss messy. No matter how hard I try my apartment is still messy, having ADHD doesn't exactly make it easier. :cheshire
