i just wondered if neone had any experience with fung shui? i've been reading "fung shui for the soul" by denise lynn, and in it she uses the principles in more of an elemental way, which fits in more nicely with my religious philosophies, being Craft, and thus identifying with the idea of elemental power.

so yeah...anyone got ne comments/suggestions? book recommendations? etc..

much :love *hugs* and :clover

hey there :hugonMAIA:hugoff

i've done a bit of reading on feng shui.

i don't know TOO much about it, but hte things i have found usefull are:

:ideadon't put your bed near the door, but make sure you have a veiw of the door. (subconsciously so you can see who is entering..etc.)

:ideait is ideal not to have a cluttery room (i sleep much better when i room is open and clean!:cute)

:ideai've done some reading on chi and energy flow, placement of articles around a room, colors....etc.

how do you incorporate feng shui into your life??

I practise Feng Shui to some extent. I have no mirrors in my bedroom and my bed is facing the door.
I do not have a waste paper basket in my living room as this can cause problems.
I do not have a street lamp outside my bedroom as this can affect chi.
I always put the toliet lid down to stop the energy flowing down the pan.
It keeps me :happy and balanced.

I put the toilet lid down too for feng shui reasons! :supergrin

Feng shui is really interesting- I'm hoping to paint my apartment some soothing colors soon to see if it makes a difference.

The Denise Lynn book really is good...

If others here can reccommend favorite books, (about feng shui) I'd be most appreciative. We are going to build a house next spring/summer, and I'm trying to 'build in' whatever I can in regard to placement and orientation on the property. Thanks!

I just redecorated my bedroom last night, and my aunt came over to make sure my room was fung shied.

Here's what I remember. When you walk in the door, the far left corner should have no black whatsoever. It is your area of prosperity. There should be lots of purple there. Along the far wall is your area of fame and fortune. You need lots of triangle and red in that area. Then the far right corner should have some black in it.

Sorry, that's all I remember... I'll come back if I come up with more.

I got into Feng Shui abput two years ago. It reallly has made me feel more "at peace" with myself in the home.

I started out with the kitchen :sly. One thing suggested is having a mirror over the stove, like on the back splash. I put up a small mirrior that is ceramic and has handmade fish going around it. I love it there, never would have thought of that!!!!

There are so many interesting theories, i love soaking in all the info!
