(I'm not sure if I should post this here or in the Spirituality board. Mod fishies, move it if it needs to be.)
Sigh.
As a Minnesotan traveling to other states, and even visiting in my own state with non-Minnesotans, I have been ridiculed on behalf of my governor.
He has been interviewed in Playboy magazine.
He has been on the Tonight Show and other shows associated with the entertainment industry.
He has called religion the "crutch for the weak-minded."
He has offended almost every Minnesotan on one issue or another, and then backlashed the press for putting him in a corner.
One "mistake," however, I am not going to criticize. I am going to thank him.
Governor Ventura, very anti-religion, declared a week in October, "Christian Heritage Week." If you'd like to read about it (I think you'll laugh, even if you aren't a Christian), go to www.startribune.com.
Enjoy!
