As a huge fan of cult kids' TV, I was very upset to hear that the Rainbow puppets were stolen from Geoffrey Hayes' :cargreen as he stopped off briefly at a petrol station earlier this week, on this way to the Edinburgh Festival.

:cry

Poor Zippy, George and Bungle! I sincerely hope that whoever has stolen them is treating them well.

:rainbow

My parents though, have actually suggested that this might be a publicity stunt initiated by Geoffrey Hayes himself, in order to attract people to his show at the Festival.

What do other :uks think?

I have no idea what you are talking about, but I know how much you love cult kids TV. I really hope that they are returned soon!

:rainbow I too was/am a hug fan of :rainbow. I can't believe someone stole the puppets. I hope they are tretaing them well.

:rainbowI admit, I do not live in :Uk anymore, so I haven't seen the report, but a few questions sping to mind:
:rainbowCome to think about it - how did they take them form a petrol station, full with video cameras, and not get caught?
:rainbowWhy did Geoffrey leave his car unlocked (if he did, and if he didn't, how did htey get in?)?
:rainbowMaybe your mum is right - i hope it was a publicity stunt!

:rainbowJust to tell you, for my fourth birthday I had a zippy birthday cake, and now I have a zippy pencil case.

:rainbowI :love:rainbow

:yay

Apparently the puppets were returned with a note simply saying "Sorry"

:rainbow

:hugonManic:hugoff Not sure about any of your questions. :ummm Apparently though, the puppets were in a suitcase and the thief surely did not know what was in it?! The :cargreen was only unattended for around ten minutes.

I won't be going to The Edinburgh Festival unfortunately :sad, (unless I delay my trip to the :usa), but my parents are going to see "Over The Rainbow" on my behalf.

Actually, I sort of wish I was going now.
