I had so many things I wanted to get done this weekend, including studying for two tests tomorrow and the three make up ones I have to take this week...and instead I have done nothing. Well, not "nothing...." I worked a twenty-four hour shift at the rescue squad yesterday, got home this morning, went to church, :sleepy all day. I feel so lazy, like there are lots of things I could be doing, I just don't care....any advice?
:love and :sun

ooh. nikki... advice... geez, i don't know. It's quite normal to feel lazy like you are at some times. I think though that you'll probably bring yourself out of it when you feel ready. When i get really tired- mentally or physically, but especially mentally- i go into this 'i can't be bothered mood' but then i think once i've rejuvinated a bit and pulled myself back together i get on and do what has to be done.
So i guess just take your time is my advice, and hopefully you'll not feel so lazy. Other than that how about listening to some up beat music, something with a beat. Maybe that'll drum some kick back into you!
Love illy x

Er, I think working a twenty-four hour shift entitles you to sleep for as long as you want!

Hey Nikki,
I had the least amount of motivation to do my dissertation for uni that you could possibly have - I failed part of uni, which means that I have to resit it next year whilst the rest graduate. So feeling awful and useless, I still had to write my huge essay - no motivation to do anything, especially for uni.
The sad thing is that my essays have always been very strong, and I should have easily got a distinction. However I procrastinated with no motivation to try until it was almost too late. I wrote it in the last day or so with no sleep - it had stupid spelling mistakes and everything! Funnily enough I didn't get my distinction!
Split all the things you have to do into small chunks - big To Do lists! Then try and take a deep breathe and start with the hardest piece first - the one you least want to do and force yourself. After you've done that motivation will be less of a problem.
Please don't follow my example, and throw it all away because you can't be bothered - am upset with myself now for not trying.
Good Luck!!!
