I am feeling so agoraphobic today. I am dog sitting for a family, so I am staying at their house for a few days. Im afraid if I leave to go to work something will happen to the house and it would be all my fault. And what if something happened to the dogs, I would feel so bad. I m afraid to ride the bus to go to work, even though Ive ridden the bus for many years. I araid of being at work. I dont enjoy the job. Im afraid of something happening at my apartment while I am not there.......etc etc.

I have had days like that before too. The fear of everything days. For myself, I wonder if I was not afraid that I could not handle anything bad happening. Like, if I went out, something bad could happen, and I just didn't have the energy/coping skills to handle it.
Do you have any ideas why you are feeling this way? I wish you luck, and I am sure nothing will happen to the dogs!!

Hamball,
so far the house is okay and the dogs are great. I really care about the people I am house/dog sitting for. They are my surrogate family. I guess Im afaid Ill lose there love
Other than that I have always been anxious. My mom used to tell me that everything that went wrong somehow was my fault. I carry a lot of guilt.

I've been through agoraphobia and it truly sucks :sad
Has something specific triggered this off right now? Is it a replacement for other behaviours?
Anxiety such as this is a sign of depression and other stuff going on.
I hope you can dig deep and find the root cause.
Much :love

HopeMadison- :sun :sun
I am glad to hear that everything is okay.:sun I can understand your not wanting to let your friends down, but I am sure you never even came close!
I was sorry to hear your mother was like that. Sure, like the wieght of the world is all one persons fault huh? I think sometimes our parents comments affect us more than they would ever realize.
Do you have any ways you are trying to overcome your feelings of guilt?
Lots of Love!!!

I started reading a book called "Feel the fear, and do it anyway." I like the book a lot.
I am in choir. On thursday we held auditions for several solo parts. I was so scared. I knew about the auditions for a week and a half. The longer the wait the more anxious I got.
I made myself get up and try out in front of the whole class.
:yay Everyone said I did really well and that I had a good voice. :yay

I knew ther would be a deep seated reason.
You felt the fear. You did it anyway. It worked out great :yay
