I am wondering if anyone else has ever used body paints in trying to get to know yourself better? :idea
I have never spent a lot of time simply enjoying my physical existence. Most of my time has been spent raging against it. Now I am trying to get truly comfortable with myself and this has meant LISTENING to myself and actually allowing myself to feel what I feel and become comfortable with it, rather than worrying about how I 'should' feel. I am not comfortable with physical intimacy,but...:shy the other day it suddenly occurred to me that I would like very much to paint myself blue, by lying in a tub of blue paint! :surprise :bounce
I would the run around the house painted blue and look at myself in the mirror, and at night I will stick glow in the dark stars on myself and dance in front of the mirror! :happy In this way my body will be more than just something I have always taken for granted; it will be a work of art. A living breathing work of art, a thing of beauty and wonder.
Maybe I will fingerpaint on myself as well, paint out the moods and emotions of my day...:idea (Just make sure I get waterproof paint!! :winky)
I have also always wanted to lie naked in a tub of gelatin jello...:shy And I just might do it! :yay To feel the texture of the jello against my skin! I would also like to put a purple lightbulb or possibly blue in the bathroom so I am reflected in the jello in this light. It would give me a whole new perspective on my body, and until now I have never felt comfortable doing anything that would seem too 'weird.' But now...I do not care because it is fun and creative and might feel nice, and I want to learn how to feel nice about my body. :happy 'And those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.'
So if anyone else has any wildly wacky creative and fun ideas on how to develop a more intimate and accepting relationship with your body, I hope you will share. :happy IDEAS SOUGHT DESPERATELY! And if anyone finds my ideas to be useful for themself I hope you'll let me know because then I'll share more as I come up with them. :shy
Take care! :stars :robot
