I am very proud to be a CHRISTain and practicing. I love everything about the Lord and what He has done for me. I teach religious education classes at my church and love to sing the CHRISTain music(though I have a terrible voice) Singing makes me feel closer to the Lord-afterall they say when you sing praise to the Lord it is praying double.

I am a Christian :pinkfishy and I've never posted here. Glad to know I am in good company. I love the Lord and have been a Christian since I was seventeen, now thirty-one. I am bulimic but I have also had periods of recovery.
When I am close to God, seems my bulimia is in check and when I'm not walking as close to God as I ought to, my bulimia seems to be leading me around. Just a little insight to who I am. Does anyone else feel this way?

Just wanted to share that I got my WWJD and FROG bracelets AT LAST when I went on a field course. I FINALLY met some Christians on my course! It was cool. And God was so there in me.

i am a christian at heart.
I was brought up one...however this is the starnnge part, my mother is very strong on "everybody should belive in this" my dad...the vicar is much more into letting people make up their own minds...he let me make up mine.

I want to get confermed again somehow cause when I did I only did it cause everyone else was.

sometimes I struggle with it, but I belive he is there.

Sometimes I wonder why there is so much suffering when he is meant to be all good and all loving, but remember that he gave us freewill and that he is there with us feeling our pain (sorry did a whole module on this in uni this year)

Yay for Christian :fishy 's!I've grown up in a Christian home and am so incrediably grateful for that! God has taught me SOOO much through my battle with my ED. I've had to learn to TRUST Him and He is always there for me! I can't be ************% honest about my ED with anyone but God-he doesn't "freak out" on me but loves me even more.

I am Christian LDS (Mormon) woman recovering from anorexia. I rely upon Heavely Father for everything and He has helped me tremendously. I read the Bible and The Book of Mormon and both contain such inspiring words. What I learned is that miracles happen after the trial of our faith. If we would just believe, miracles will happen. You are so right about being able to be totally honest with God. It's like even though sometimes we feel so ashamed, and afraid to go to Him, His love never changes. Never. It's very different from imperfect human love, God gave us this wonderful give and we didn't deserve it :cute.

I too had to learn a wholelotta stuff about being dependent on God in my recovery. I used to look at being dependent on Him as a chore, but now that I leave my burdens at the cross, it's like sometime's I realise He does more work than me. And that's a good thing! It's true that we should live fulfilled lives. As we journey through recovery, our lives become more filled with Him and less filled with the ED (Satan).

Hey, do any of you ever feel like you have disappointed God? I feel this way often, especially when I slip and do something that I know isn't right. I have to remember, though, that we cannot reach perfection in this lifetime. There has only ever been one perfect being, that being the Savior Jesus Christ. We are so blessed to have the atonement in our lives. He suffered and died for us because he knew that we would make mistakes, sometimes even make the same mistake twice or three times or even more. To all you Christian fishies who feel unworthy or feel like you have disappointed Heavenly Father, just remember the sacrifice that was made for you so that you would be abe to make mistakes and STILL return to our Father. WOOHOO there are so many of us here. Praise the Lord!!! It is great to be able to share your struggles with other Christians who TRULY understand! Honestly, had I not had such faith in God I would NEVER have made it this far in life. I remember during the hardest struggle with my ED and clinical depression (at age sixteen) I used to pray to God to take me home because I didn't want to live anymore. How sad that I felt I had so little to live for. I just knew how wonderful God was and how glorious Heaven would be and figured why stay here? But thankfully sometimes God doesn't answer prayers because He has something else in mind for us. I truly believe I have gone through the trials that I have so that I can help others who are going through them. God has blessed me with the opportunity to help several people with ED's or who had suffered sexual abuse. And I know that I have made a difference to them and in turn they have helped me. God's love is amazing and I just wish EVERYONE would accept it :cute God Bless to all of you!!! Take care of yourselfs and keep smiling :happy

and to answer your question,,yes i am involved with our campus ministry: BASIC (brothers and sisters in Christ)
actually i am in leadership and i'm not quite sure how that happened...i think i might resign (or whatever you'd say) however from my position, because i feel like i'm really struggling and i'm not able to offer the support, leadership, guidance, etc, that a leader should be able to provide,,although i was 'nominated' for a position, i feel selfish in keeping a position when inside i am not really that strong and struggling with my own faith,,i think that maybe someone else would be able to do a better job and when i am at a different place with my walk with God, then maybe things will be different,,i have to pray about it though because all things happen for a reason and maybe God wants me in leadership..who know?

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am definately a Christ and I believe he is my savior and suffered for my sins in the garden of gethsemane. I know he loves me and wants me to take care of my body and do all I can to live with him again.

I wanted to say that I think its great that there are a lot of fishies that are finding strength within the Lord and their religion -
I felt that a lot when I went to Christmas Eve service and the songs and the beautious church and prayers and seeing how many people were there to worship Christ was so wonderful and special
Recently for me in my life I have been trying to find a job and get my feet on the ground to stand on my own so to say because my dad's insurance will run out throughout the year and I need to become more independent. A friend of mine told me that God would come to me in a way - and he did.
I think he is there for

i came across it the other day as going through some stuff and I really believe in it - because its important to believe in who you are and Hold on! God loves us :angel :sun

Yeah me too! This ED is something I just can't beat on my own, it's only through God changing me that I stand a chance. But, even if he doesn't heal me I'm gonna keep on praising and loving him for everything he's done for me.
