Me! Me! Me! I'm a pagan fihy :bounce I am a practicing Wiccan and begun this path early in life thanks to some wonderful open minded people I was close too. They had me questioning everything and ultimately make my own choice in direction. Yay for them!

BLESSED BE!

Another pagan :fishy signing up!

Well, pagan, agnostic, non-believer, don't quite know how other people would label my "faith". I don't specifically follow any belief system, alhough I tend towards a holistic/pantheistic view of the world. I don't know enough about wiccan to neither adhere to it nor refute it, but it interests me, as do the kemetic (Egyptian), celtic and hellenic beliefs.

Could someone please share a little about what paganism actually is, for a :fishy who is starting to develop some curiosity about the spiritual side of life.

Thanks.

:supergrin I'm a pagan too.
Wow I never relised there were so many on the board.
Wicca is helping me regain my strength as a woman. Helping me to feel my worth in the universe.

It really dismays me, how people react to paganism . . . .
It is the COMPLETE opposite of what most people believe . . . .
Does anyone get frustrated with this ??
I DO! Grrr,
Anyways, to learn a lil more about me, you can visit my website (the #is ***'d out but the link is good)

It seems as if there are enough of us to pose a question: How does your Paganism interact with your ED? Has your faith been helpful to you in moving toward healthier behaviors? What spiritual practices have you tried to move yourself in a positive direction?

why not start up a new thread posing the question that you was wondering, I have been thinking about it and havent yet come up with many answers, only random thoughts which are too random to post at the minute

I was a practicing Wiccan for a couple of years but things drifted apart(long story), but my interest in it is starting to come back, so I'll have to check it out again....

Pagan lesbian fishy right here!
I just got back from Remuda Ranch in the Spring. It is a christian treatment center and it was lonely not having anyone of my own faith around... Then when I posted a message about my girlfriend on the Alumni Board to ask for some advice and support, the Ranch told me it was not appropriate. I felt devastated that people who were supposed to be accepting me and supporting me in my recovery could say such a thing about my love of another human being. What could be more sacred and holy than that?
Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. I just need some support and acceptance from other fishies right now.
