One of the most amazing books I have ever read - that has helped me a great deal is

There Is Nothing Wrong with You: Going Beyond Self-Hate (Paperback)
by Cheri Huber (Author), June Shiver (Illustrator)

Has anyone else read this? What did you think?

My last therapist gave me a copy a few years back, and I literally read the entire book in almost one sitting (and the majority of the book I highlighted)

My therapist had gotten this at a retreat she went to, and she said she saw it and she thought of me; Today it has remained one of the most influential books I have ever read in my own recovery. The book was very easy to read - and very appealing to the eye (the print was not small, mundane, and boring)

I highly suggest it :yay

Happy reading Hart, when I read the book, I was literally saying outloud "Omg yes! Yes that is ME!" and I was nodding my head .. I was sitting outside of Barnes & Noble drinking my starbucks and people were probably looking at me like I was whacked :muhaha :winky

YES!! I've just finished reading this, and really enjoyed it; I usually have major issues finishing books and read this in like two days, which should say something about how easy it is to read. Not sure how comfortable I feel with its emphasis on meditation and spiritual practice, which might not be for everyone, but it certainly has powerful insights into how we come to be so hard on ourselves and what we can do about it ...
