View Full Version : Put Your Hands On My Ass

11-03-2001, 11:37 PM
I am inspired by Lingdiva's post about her butt. She made the comment about her ass having a rhythm when she walks.

Ok, know what? There have been lots of posts over the almost two years I've been here about women hating their asses, breasts, & hips.

Know what again? We're women. We are SUPPOSED to have asses, breasts & hips. Curves are part of womanhood.

Fight it all you want, female fishies, but biology rules. When we walk down the street, our hips should sway. Our asses should move. Our curves should be accentuated. No, we don't deserve idiot catcalls & wolf whistles. And we've all been on the receiving end of negative male attention.

But forget that for a moment. Picture yourself strolling down the sidewalk on a fall afternoon. Your body sways naturally.

You ARE rhythm.

We just deserve to be.

Be women.

What nature intended.

What step can you take today to say "Hurray for my curves? I am nature incarnate"?

Put your hands on your ass, your hips, your breasts. Ignore any initial reaction that you are "too much". Celebrate something about it.

You simply are.

Celebrate it.

I like my ass its looks good

when I dance...i check out my ass and everyone knows it and I'm not ashamed!! LOL

So I was getting my tattoo re-done yesterday and its on my hip..and I had to pull down my pants and the tattoo artist was like yeah just slide my way a bit..and I made a comment about my ass being out in the open and he looks at me and says "....I have an ass to you know"

it broke the ice...I'm like in love with this guy and he is So so so strange LOL

Anyways thought I'd add my comment about my ass!

:hugon kensington :hugoff

well, i don't really have an ass, let alone one with rhythm...:sarcasm

if i had one i swear i would sway it all the time !!!

BUT i do have breasts and sometimes i whine about how big
they are and how they make me feel large...:ugh

they are actually nice breasts. not too large really...
men have always loved them :sly - i remember times when i was actually proud of them.

inspired by this post i will try to be kind to myself and my breasts...

When I read the title of your thread I was like, 'WHAT! I'm not sure I wanna do that!':winky but having read the content, I see it's a typically challenging, (_I_):kicking post from you!:supergrin

YES, women are not meant to be sticks. I mean, it's so bloody obvious that the thin woman ideal is unnatural - & frankly unnattractive as well.

As for me, well, I must admit that I've never been very well endowed in the butt department. Even since I've restored weight, it's painful to sit on a hard surface for any length of time - so I'll pass over that one. I have a pathetic butt that can't even do it's job properly!:mad But I have a lovely, natural hourglass figure when I am eating properly & maintaining. When in a healthy frame of mind, I do like my ( . )( . )s!:sly They are just right - not too big, not too small, but still ample...:supergrin And yes, I get the impression that men quite like them too when They're at their proper size.

I'll put my hands on your ass. :sly I mean, err... ah... my ass. Yeeeeeeeeeeah. :sarcasm

This reminds me of something BigSister said once when I was complaining about my thighs: "They're supposed to touch. They're side by side."

You know what, Kensy-Lou-Who? I am gonna take your advice today. I am going to let my ass WIGGLE!

11-04-2001, 03:02 PM
"Oh, come on, ladies! God wouldn't have given you maracas if He didn't want you to shake 'em!"

:cheesy :winky :sarcasm :muhaha

I love the fact that I have curves now. :robot

"They're supposed to touch. They're side by side." Thanks for the reminder, Jess. I have trouble remembering that!

:grin What an uplifting thread. :grin

Woohoo for curves.

All part of being ME!

Thanks Kensy.

Our curves make us beautiful, make us become the inspiration of so many poets and the lyrics of so many songs :notes
we are women and damn PROUD to be a woman, a girlie fishy :supergrin

Okay, where is our body artist?:winky

Gill????? Where are you honey?:kiss

11-04-2001, 10:32 PM
I :love the way that my hips swerve as I walk. I love that my body has curves. Only in my recovery have I come to appreciate such.

11-04-2001, 11:03 PM
After all these years... I am a simple woman? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck! No wonder they would let me play proper Little League baseball...

Well, my ass has a wiggle when I walk. But there's this little tadpole at the fron that also wiggles...

Curves are great in women.

So all you women.. be women. Don't be 'straight up, straight down'. That isn't sexy. Being human strands of spaghetti is not good.

01-27-2003, 05:12 AM

Hmmmm, yes, well if men like our curvy bits (& they do - I hear about how delightful my curves are all the flippin time!) then why can't we???:sarcasm They make us sexy & they give us the ability to be mothers. And yet we tell ourselves that we'd rather look like broomsticks.:ugh:ugh:ugh

Thanks for :bounceing this up again.

01-27-2003, 09:22 AM
I love this. I had to read it because the title was so intriguing. :grin

Okay. I'm PMSing. I admit it. My body hurts. For a good part of me, I feel like erm... sh*t. My breasts hurt, but bygod, they're spiffy. I rather like them. For some odd reason, they've grown.:sly Woohoo for recovery, I was sick for so long during the teens and early twenties that I did not know how nature had designed them. I think nature did a pretty good job.

As for the ass part... last night I was laying a particular way. I made a comment about my ass looking big to me when I looked back at it. My boyfriend said, "No, Laura. Your ass is beautiful just as it is." I smiled and didn't complain any more. Usually I don't complain about my ass, but it was around midnight and I was dead tired.

Thanks for the reminder to appreciate our bodies.

01-27-2003, 09:39 AM
hmmm, i'm not so sure about my (_I_) :ummm it's kinda flat. But my hips? :muhaha I am a who-ole lotta woman! :cheesy I love my curvey hips.

You know though, if my ass wasn't flat, i'd only decide it stuck out too much! :sarcasm Just for today, i'm going to love my ass.

:love (_I_) :love

Hey, here's a note for the guys, there are two things i'm fining really sexy at the moment. That guy out of The Full Monty - is his name Mark Addy? The guy who thinks he's too big ( :sly ) to be a stripper? Yummy. And an ad we get in the UK for a brand of pie, a kind of parody with these big guys replacing rolls usually taken by really muscular men. If you've not seen it i won't explain. I don't want to start getting all unnecessary!!!!
Anyhoo, just wanted to get a little politically correct and point out that it's not just a girl thing!
Oh dear, now i'm sat in work just thinking about Mark Addy's gorgeous bod. This wasn't the point of the post!!

:love and :gimmehug and :kiss my (_I_) because it's gorgeous,

:love Rosey

Hi Gals!! I remember this post! I :love it! I'll just share a little story..today I was shopping with a friend and she was complaining about how she wants to be really skinny and pointed out this girl who was really tiny..

and I just looked at her and said..So do you want to have the body of a female..or one like a ten year old boys, with absolutly no shape? She just looked and me and said good call..

lol I think that without shape we would all look really freakin weird..I like my hips and boobs and my ass.. Im a girl..Im supposed to have curves!

Hmmm... I'm the opposite of a lot of :fishys... you guys say no matter what weight you're at, you don't really have a butt...

I have ALWAYS had a butt, no matter what I weigh... even at my absolute thinnest I had an ass for some reason... maybe all those years of sprinting, playing soccer, etc...

I used to hate it. Especially when I was around fifteen-sixteen (just before the ED started), and my dad would tell me I had a ghetto booty or a big butt, and then comment on how my mother had such a nice figure (tiny breasts, no butt). Thanks dad.:ugh I remember him saying "I didn't say you were FAT, just that you have a big butt." How sweet.

So yeah, even when I was super sick I had noticeable remnants of a track star booty... and only recently I decided that I like it! I do like curves. No matter what weight I am, I think I'll always have a pretty nice ass (as in, good size, not too big or small)... and that's a nice thing to know. Well, for me... I'm sure you guys don't particularly care if I have a nice ass:muhaha... well I DO, so there.

As for breasts... I'm slowly beginning to accept them... it was kinda nice being able to workout without wearing a sports bra... but it's also nice to have boobs.

03-19-2003, 01:55 PM
:muhaha Oh, Kensy. I thought to myself, well, Kensy, glad you love your ass, but I'm not sure IIII want to my hands on. Then, I thought, what the hell, thelebrate thy ovarieth--celebrate womanhood. Gently touches Kensy's ass.

Just this morning I griped that I would not likely get the part in a play I wanted because I'm up against a seventeen year old girl -- five nine, lanky, boobs, blonde, you get the idea. This guy says, "What the hell! You sell yourself SHORT! You have a GREAT body! Just the right amount of T & A (okay, a bit crass, but, oh well, I know him), not too thin, shapely. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!! YOU are what GOD intended woman to be!" *sniff* Kensy, he MEANT it, and as other men walked out, they agreed (blush). THEY meant it. So, whatever the hell it is that some of us think is "ideal," most of the men . . . DO NOT! The comments these men, mostly professionals, made, were genuine. They had no vested interest in my body image. They were just genuinely shocked. I was actually told that I was considered one of the most attractive women in town until I got sickly for a while and they were glad to see I came out of it *SHOCK!*

So, yes, I'll touch my ass, my breasts, and stand tall and proud today (all five seven to five eight of me and thirty four DD dammit! can't tell you my size, but it's okay today too-I do have a thirty two inseam LOL :muhaha long azz legs).

Thanks Kensy

Keeping it real and celebrating womanhood.

Thank you for the much needed reminder that we are beautiful creatures and that beauty should be celebrated, not criticized.
I remember when I first got well and started to gain weight, I went to see friends in Altanta that I had not seen in six months. They all smiles and hugged me and said how 'voluptuous' I looked.
At first I was upset.
Now it is kind of nice.
