one book i would say everyone who has an eating disorder should read is intuitive eating, it is all about learning to listen to your body and respecting it i love it has helped me so much!

No, I believe she is referring to the one called "Intuitive Eating: a Revolutionary Program that Works" by Tribbole and Resch. (sp?)

I have read it and it is wonderful; however, I do believe it is a more "advanced" book for someone who is "almost" recovered. I read it at the beginning of recovery and I do think has a LOT of benefit and is very rational for someone who has an eating disorder, but I think the emotional work has to come before trying IE. Otherwise, it becomes another diet.

At least that's how it worked for me.

I liked "Overcoming Overeating" and "When Women Stop Hating their Bodies" by Hirschmann and Munter because it gives a step by step guide on how to stop restricting as well as gives exercises such as "fat and thin" fantasies to help uncover what's really going on behind the food issues.

I think anyone with bingeing issues can benefit from the above two books, even if you aren't COE/BED.

Evelyn Tribole, and Elyse Resch, are the poeple who wrote it, ya it is for poeple futher along but i like to just read when i am in a bad mood

my nutrionist suggested this book and i picked it up about two weeks ago.. im still reading it but im getting a lot out of it.. theres so much in there that i can say OH I'VE DONE THAT or I WANT TO CHANGE THAT.. im taking it slow even though i think its a pretty fast read.. i think if you really want to change your eating habits for good this is an awesome start! but i really think you need to put your whole self into it and really listen to what they are saying! im hoping i can too
