I just finished reading this book. It was weird that my library had the most recent version from this year. Carolyn Costin wrote this book about a decade ago and recently revised it. A friend of mine said that it was a controversial book and people found it triggering. I think this book is geared more for the professional, although it is for everyone. She made some really good points in it. It was kind of a nice overview of where things are in the eating idsorder world in terms of research, treatment, therapy modalities, nutrition, medical assessment, etc. Has anyone else read it? What were your thoughts?

I've read parts of it and I found it really informative. Carolyn Costin talks a lot about what needs to happen in recovery, what types of treatment are available, ect. and she is very compassionate towards sufferers, as she is a recovered Anorexic turned T. herself. Some parts may be triggering but it's definitely a great educational resource for both professions and those with ED's and their loved ones. :kick
