Has anyone read these?!

I'm not a big reader but I couldn't put "Twilight children" down - ended up going in to teach with about two hours sleep :muhaha

Torey Hayden is a child psychiatrist whose stories are based on real patients...severely trouble kids, and how she breaks down the barriers to help them heal.

I have only read "Twilight children" so if anyone has read any of her books and can make a good recommendation then it's off to ebay for me to buy it :grin

Anyone else a fan?

I read "Ghost Girl" in about six hours last year. It was a fascinating read, and she's a really compelling writer. I'd definitely recommend it, although it might be :trigger to a person who is emotionally fragile at the time of reading.

I started the book a couple of times, but despite wanting to continue, I had to pick a time when I was in the right head space to handle the information described in it.

I started reading her books when I was a teenager, and I re-read them when I became a teacher. I was surprised to realize I ended up teaching kids a lot like hers!

She seems like a very interesting person, and she's certainly a captivating writer.

I haven't read Twilight's Children yet. I recommend One Child and Somebody Else's Kids most.

I have read all of her books and think that she is an awesome writer and teacher. Some of the things she writes about are really hard to read, but her love of teaching and sense of humor shine through it all. As a special ed teacher, I look to her as my hero and role model.

I've read all of them too, some many, many times.

My favorites are 'Twiglights Child' which you have just read and 'Just Another Kid'.

The books and Torey are just awesome.

I've read One child, Tiger's child, Twilight Children and Ghost Girl, all were really good, although I found Ghost girl very disturbing with the ritual abuse so not for anyone easily triggered.

Hey there, Yes I love her books, I have read a couple of them, which I also could not put down !! They are intense, but very very captivating...

The only two I have read - and I highly suggest both of them - are Ghost Girl & One Child
