Has anyone else heard of this book??
It's called Feast of Famine with the subtext A Physician's Personal Struggle to Overcome Anorexia Nervosa. The author is Joan M. Johnston, MD.
It's a really good autobiography by a woman who is a doctor (obviously :cute ) who describes her growing up years, then college and then med school, residency and working and marriage and her struggle with anorexia throughout. She was seriously ill throughout her medical training while working in hospitals and amazingly no one ever made a single comment to her. She also talks about her efforts at treatment and her recovery.
What makes this book unique is that the author is Canadian :canada . The book publisher is American though. And the author now lives and practices in my city.
I have no idea if anyone else has ever heard of this book!!! But it really pulls you in.
