Can anyone recommend a good workbook?

I am looking for something with some exercises. I want to begin journaling again but the idea of a blank notebook is too daunting- I need some guided exercises and some help.

I'm having issues with food and body image, more in the COE realm but some problems with bulimia too.

Definitely, definitely try The Don't Diet Live-It Workbook by Wachter and Marcus.

I am part way through, and I love it!

Years ago I worked on a book called Making Peace With Food. I don't know if it is still in print, but I would definitely recommend it.

Check out the Gurze catalog at: www.bulimia.com

There's a new one out called the Food and Feelings Workbook that I have- I like it thus far, though I haven't done very much. There's also the Appetite Awareness Workbook that I have seen but not looked through. I'm sure there are others. The Gurze site has things grouped by topic, and there's body image and even a separate section for workbooks.

Happy reading!

Someone already recommended Don't Diet Live It, but I second that. If you check on amazon you can see that it is loved by many and has exactly what you are looking for.
Oh, and this is rather random but I just had to mention that I know the guy who wrote Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Matinence and therefore the quote suffleboard queen posted. Apparently he got a lot of sales from the title. Indeed, it is kicka** hehe

I agree with the two girls above- I recommend Don't Diet Live It. It's a great workbook and is actually really interesting to read. A lot of the questions were difficult for me to answer, but thats recovery isn't it? The reason I love this workbook so much is mostly because it targets both anorexia and bulimia. It's written by two authors- one who suffered from anorexia, the other bulimia- so it has amazing insights on recovery at both ends of the spectrum. Definately give it a try!

I just started the Don't Diet Live It and I am impressed that they don't just talk about over eating but they talk about undereating too, so it does help everybody. I am doing the exercises, be so keen to hear what you all think of it as you go
