Papillon is a realy great book. All the men in my family read it and really liked it.
I can't remember the author.... But if you look up the book title it won't be difficult to find.

or.. were you looking for books ED related?
No suggestions there... sorry!

If you are just looking for a book in general... these are my favorites

Papillon is deffinantly a very inspiring book. What the guy goes through is amazing... what life is worth to him is very inspiring.

Dove (Author... ummm Robin something) Is a really inspiring book. About the youngest boy to sail around the world alone. Really GREAT book.

Siddhartha (Herman Hesse) One of my all time favorites. There is a lot to learn from it. I have read it numerous times

Hope this helps!

If you are looking for a book about EDs for parents, I know many people recommend Surviving an Eating Disorder by Michelle Siegel, Judith Brisman, and Margot Weinshel.

Too Perfect by Allan E. Mallinger and Jeannette DeWyze

The title sounds a bit cliché and cheesy, but it really is an excellent read about perfectionism and control that seems to completely capture all the intricacies of these issues. It helped me learn more about myself and understand why I do certain things/feel certain ways.

I found the book Because I Feel Fat to be an excellent explanation for family & friends about the "whys" of e/d. Why we can't let go so easily, why it's so hard, why we get so pulled in, why we do the things we do... Much better then any other friends/family book. It's a great resource.

My Dad read 'Secret Language Of An Eating Disorder' then asked me to read it, saying he had no idea it was so hard for me. I think it's a great book for insights into ED thinking, and would highly reccomend it for people like me who find it hard to put they feel into their own words

Also check out Father Hunger by Margo Maine. I read it and highlighted it for my dad to read. I know he read part and it was definitely a factor in beginning to alter our relationship. It's a good book for you too!
