Negative voices

[Forget-Me-Not]

I am ignoring my negative voices. They are very persistent (and very mean) but I am ignoring them, in the hope that they will take the hint and GO AWAY!!!!!!!

I am also trying logic, of the "If I was as hugely fat as you're saying I am, I wouldn't be able to walk... So I'm not listening!"

They're sulking at the moment, because I pointed out that I was not going to immediately gain weight if I ate a packet of chocolate buttons, and I wasn't going to go for a run but instead was going to surf the web and then read some more of "Howards End".

So nyerts to my negative voices!

Firstly, can I just say that I love your name :flower. Forget me nots are very special to me. I wrote a poem once that is very special to me called Forget me not. :flower

I thought I would share something with you. I am doing a years course in psychotherapy. One dynamic we have learnt about that can go on in people's heads is the top dog underdog dynamic.
Basically, the top dog is the one who says things like. You are fat and ugly. You are stupid. You will fail. etc. etc. etc. The underdog is the one who says Yes, I know I am & believes all the rubbish and feels awful and defeated. :sad It is a dynamic I know well.
Anyway, the way to get rid of the top dog is to refuse to be the under dog and to fight back. :edbgone And it sounds like that is what you are doing! So, keep at it. Sounds like you are doing great. I know it feels like a battle :ican but you will make it.
