Now when I look in the mirror,
The girl looking back isn’t me.
Instead, she’s a girl who puts
Mia before Mommy
Starving before sisters
Deprivation before Dad.

This girl puts
Famine before friends
Bingeing before boys
Lying before learning,
And purging before playing.

Now when I look in the mirror,
The girl looking back is someone else.
I don’t know how she got there,
But she sure as **** isn’t me.
