Many people say that Bush won because of his morals/values? Exactly what are those?? Curious...

so-called moral issues are the ones self righteous conservatives define as moral issues. Gay marriage, abortion, creationism, flag burning. all that stuff.
The media's interpretation of moral issues neglects the fact that many of us with deep morals support gay marriage and reject the notion that science and God are in direct contradiction.
Free speech is a moral issue
Taking care of our seniors is a moral issue
Protecting our children from pollution is a moral issue
Being good stewards of the earth is a moral issue
Ending the death penality is a moral issue
Peace is a moral issue

Why do I feel as if this is a trick question.
:bullet He is anti-terrorism. He wants to keep the war on foreign soil making certain it doesn't come to the homeland. If you talk to those in the military, even military wives, you will find that by and large they support Bush and believe this to be a vital mission, "unlike Kosovo," is what I hear most often. They find it an honorable fight and they feel supported in their efforts by Bush.
:bullet He is pro-military, which factors in above. He wants them to have what they need in war and in peace.
:bullet He is pro strengthening alliances with the world to create peace. (Read the Republican platform.)
:bullet He is pro homeland security.
:bullet He is pro border control.
:bullet He is pro first responders! There has been a huge investment in this.
:bullet He is pro PATRIOT act.
:bullet He is anti-partial birth abortion.
:bullet He is pro-life, yes, anti-abortion.
:bullet He is anti-euthanasia.
:bullet He is pro defining marriage as one man and one woman.
:bullet He is pro reduction of marriage penalty in taxes.
:bullet Look at the tax relief efforts in two thousand one.
:bullet He is pro-entrepreneurs and small business.
:bullet He is pro home ownership. With the new guidelines we became homeowners!
:bullet He is pro overhauling the social security system and making participation in present system optional. Social security with ownership.
:bullet He is pro affordable housing.
:bullet He is pro health savings accounts. We have one available to us through my husband's work. We are now in open enrollment! Thank you GWB!
:bullet He is pro reforming the litigation system.
:bullet He is pro leaving no child behind.
On and on.

We need to be civil to one another. Our country is deeply devided and it's time for it to stop. We should be able to be accepting to one another, differences of opinion or not.
