AAAAAHHHHH.
This sucks.
Bush is going to do irreparable damage. He has four years to further demolish Iraq, overturn our already established civil rights, and appoint quite a few Supreme Court Judges.
I can't believe this.
Four more years of smirks.

I just came here to post the same horrible news.

I seriously think I'm going to vomit (not purge, VOMIT).
I guess we have to focus on what we CAN do, though. Surely we can do things to improve our country during the next few years. It is our responsibility to take advantage of every opportunity to use our voices and actions to promote what we believe.

And what does it mean that Kerry has conceded?

After what happened last time, both candidates said that no matter what, they didn't want this to drag on. I respect Kerry for conceding. Basically, he admitted his defeat in the most mature way.

Thanks. I figured that's what it meant (that Kerry was admitting defeat), but just wanted to double-check.

So much for our civil rights, human rights, rights as citizens of the country and the WORLD. We are basically going to be run by an incredibly stupid, puppet on strings.. THIS IS horrendous!

I think it really spoke highly for Kerry that he conceded and didnt drag our country through the same thing that happened with the last election. Shows he cares more about America than himself.

I am so disheartened by this news. I'm still in shock thinking this has got to be some kind of bad dream. I have really lost faith in America. I understand Kerry's logic in conceding, and I respect that he didn't want to drag it on, but I believe those votes should have been counted, it just doesn't seem right.

I'm so :reallymad and :cry over this.
I know that the power elite that runs this country would still be intact even w/a Kerry victory (you don't see any poor people running for prez do you?) - but I am so concerned and disturbed on so many levels.
It is terribly upsetting to me how church and state are becoming ever more blurred.
If we want (to keep running) a holy war with the rest of the world then the "right" guy just got another four more.

I couldn't agree more with all of you, especially you, Kensington. I was driving to a home visit and heard the concession speech. I can't stop crying. I don't know what to think.
How can people still think that Osama Bin Laden and Iraq are related? I am devastated and heartbroken. More and more of our personal rights will be taken (with Supreme Court appts.), and the blood of more innocent people will be shed.
I met John Edwards when he was in the primaries. He was a wonderful man with high ideals for our country. I came to think the same of Kerry.
I'm trying to maintain hope, but right now it feels impossible.
I'm sad for all of us. :love, mel

In the sake of fairness, I'm closing this. Bush celebration posts have been closed, so Bush disappointment posts are being closed as well.
