Just want to wish all the fishys, a Happy Voting Day. It's raining outside, but let this not deter our spirits, but get out and vote. Let's do it with love in our hearts, pray that truly the best man wins, and that whoever become the "losers" here, that we accept it, because it is afterall, the will of the people. We ultimately all want the same things, fairness and equality for all, in voting, with marriage, in healthcare, for the protection of social security, in medical advancements; to be protected; lives of babies and criminals are at stake here. Let's hope, along with the best man winning, that the right people are appointed, in the right places when the time comes for these issues to be decided on, so we can all be safe and free Americans.

Get Out And Vote Everyone!!
Also, I just wanted to say that if you do not want to see Mr. Bush in the White House for the next four years, then please vote for John Kerry ~ Nader will not win this election. If you are considering giving Nader your vote instead of Kerry against Bush, you are actually taking a vote away from Kerry instead of Bush which allow Bush to win. Those who are for Bush will vote for Bush. But if those who are against Bush split their votes between two candidates, then Bush will still win. Please think about your choice before voting.

Peace to all today. Get out there and let your voice be heard (by voting, please), make it count, VOTE.
It's craziness here at the polls. I live in a swing state (don't know if that will influence turn out). My husband couldn't even get into the precinct and make it to work, whereas four years ago it was like a ghost town. He had allowed an hour to vote. At another precinct it was difficult to navigate the mess of cars to get my daughter to school. The cars go on in every direction as far as the eyes can see and have since six-thirty (according to local news).
Take care of YOU.

i voted. its over. my part is done.
it was so nerve wrecking though. by the time i got through the line (long line, but not as bad as other precincts) i was shaking (social anxiety bad case. today is horrid). but its done. ITS DONE! i shook so hard in the booth i couln'tcontrol the pen and got outside the line on a few - and i'm so afraid that my vote won't count...because i live in florida and the scrutiny will probably be tremendous. i want my vote to count.
i tried to get an election official to look at my ballot to make sure it would still count. poor old lady must have thought i had early Parkinson's or something because i still couldn't stop shaking. she told me to put it in the machine and it owuld spit it back out at me if it was unreadable, and itf that was the case, then they would get someone to assist me in filling out anothe one. it accepted it, but i'm still afraid it will be rejected later.
what do the elderly do if they can't hold their hands still enough to fill out those tiny circles???? its not fair. its not a fair system to do it that way. its too hard for peopple. i'm a freaking artist. i should be able to hold my hand still enough to fill out a form, but no life can't be that simple.
:flustered. need a nap.
From a non-:usa, can i just say I can't wait until all this voting is over and done with.
Although I was impressed by the crowds of ppl waiting to vote....

Picasso,
I can totally relate to you, I was so tense too!(I still am) My knees were shaking. ahhhh! I know for some bizarre reason I am afraid my vote won't count too.(I don't know why, I live in WI) grrrrrr! I have anxiety really bad too.
Yes, I agree peace to all. I hope a lot of people turn out and vote. I still heard and know so many people have said to me "oh my vote won't matter/I am only one person...etc" I am lucky, I can be the ultimate slacker- all I have to do is walk downstairs and vote, my polling place is in my building.
I hope everyone has a good day!

I felt so much anxiety, too, wondered if I marked the right ones, because sometimes the way the black lines were, I couldn't tell if it was a category of three people or three categories for three people. Bad nerves, no less, made this happen. Then I wondered if my card would be voided if I picked two people for the same position! Plus, I had to help my mom, and my blind husband. So, I worried for their votes, too. But we all did it. We did our part.
